VIÑADOR SCHOLARSHIP
SBVF recently partnered with Gleason Family Vineyards (Roblar and Refugio Ranch Wineries) to award college scholarships to members of our local winegrowing community pursuing higher education in 2026. Anyone working in a Santa Barbara County vineyard, winery, or vineyard management company, including the family members of these employees were invited to apply. Two winners were selected, each to receive a $5000 scholarship towards their college education.
The first recipient was Karen Chavez Garcia, daughter of Sofia who, along with Jorge, runs the farming operations at Roblar Farm. Karen will be attending UC Merced this Fall.
The second recipient was Dulce Barbosa, daughter of Refugio Ranch vineyard foreman, Carlos. Dulce will be attending Allan Hancock this Fall.
