HOLIDAY HOPE 2025

Launched in 2021, the Holiday Hope program aims to make the holidays a little brighter for vineyard families.

Thanks to contributions to the Holiday Hope Campaign, we were able to provide warm coats, boots, socks, hats and gift cards to over 130 vineyard workers in advance of this holiday season.  Donations are still being accepted for our next distribution, so please consider making a gift today to provide these essential items for our vineyard working community, the backbone of our local wine industry.

Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation Spreads Holiday Wishes to Vineyard Workers

With generous support from AgWest and Farm Supply, the Foundation delivers “Warmest Wishes” to those who tend the vines.

Santa Barbara, CA — November 17— The Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation is proud to announce the success of its Holiday Hope program, which this year brought warmth and cheer to the hardworking vineyard crews who make Santa Barbara County’s wine industry thrive.

Thanks to the generous support of AgWest Farm Credit and Farm Supply Company, the Foundation provided essential cold-weather items, including jackets, boots, socks, hats, and backpacks, to vineyard workers across the region. With additional support from individual donors, Sketchers, The Julia Child Foundation, and Direct Relief, each recipient also received a gift card to personalize their own holiday celebrations.

Under the banner of “Holiday Hope,” the annual initiative was created to give back to the vineyard teams whose dedication and care are the foundation of every bottle produced in Santa Barbara County. The gifts not only provide comfort during the chilly winter months but also serve as a heartfelt thank-you from the local wine community. “Our vineyard workers are the unsung heroes of our industry,” said Karen Steinwachs, Board Member of the Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation. “Holiday Hope is our way of showing appreciation for the people whose skill and hard work make Santa Barbara wines possible. We’re deeply grateful to our partners for helping us extend this warmth and gratitude.

The Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation, the charitable arm of the Santa Barbara Vintners Association, supports local and global organizations that improve health and quality of life in winegrowing communities.Through programs like Holiday Hope, the Foundation continues its mission of caring for those who care for the vines.
